Service Projects


FBS can provide you with brochures and information, and money donation boxes to place at an office, school, or local business.  These locked boxes include a flyer showcasing Fort Bend Seniors programs. You are welcome to create your own flyer, we will provide the FBS logo and the information about our organization. Contact us to receive a money donation box.

Donation Drives

Many of our funding sources cover meals and delivery costs exclusively, but Fort Bend Seniors provides so much more to our seniors! We are always looking for community members and other organizations to partner with. Donation drives are great service projects for groups and helps with extra items our seniors need.

  • Adult Diaper Drive – Our most requested item
  • Pet Food Drive – for our seniors’ furry friends! (7 lb packages)
  • Welcome Bag Drive
  • Secret Santa for Seniors – Drop off starts in November
  • Other options

Welcome Bags

Each new Meals on Wheels client, is provided a small gift bag with a few necessities to welcome them to our program. Congregate Center clients also receive a small gift bag to recognize their birthdays at our quarterly celebrations.

A service project can include collecting donations for the bags and putting them together. Completed bags can be dropped off at the Fort Bend Seniors Administrative Offices in Rosenberg. Please call 281.633.7049 to arrange a drop-off time.

For youth groups, we love an added assortment of “Welcome” cards, to let our seniors know you care!

Welcome Bags Include:

  • Small Reusable shopping bag
  • Shampoo/Conditioner
  • Soap
  • Lotion
  • Tissues
  • Toothbrush/Toothpaste
  • Basic socks (for women and men)
  • Large print Sudoku/Crossword/Word Find Book

A minimum of 3 items (not including reusable bag) should be included.

Secret Santa for Seniors

Each December, every Meals on Wheels client, receives a reusable, holiday themed shopping bag with a new towel set and a personal item. Join us for this cherished holiday tradition! Your generosity is guaranteed to put a smile on the face of a senior in our community this Christmas. Click here for a sharable snapshot of the 2020 program.

I want to “Adopt a Senior” this year. What do I do next? 
Be Santa –1280px-Santa_hat.svg This year, we are getting all of our seniors something wonderful and needed — a bath towel set! Purchase a unisex towel set, plus add one additional gift of your choice to personalize the present for your senior!

Secret Santa Gifts Include:

  • Reusable Holiday themed shopping bag
  • New 3 piece towel set, including a bath towel, hand towel, and wash cloth 

and at least one of the following

  • 2022 Wall Calendar
  • Shampoo/Conditioner

Bag It & Tag It


All gifts should be placed in a large holiday-themed reusable shopping bags so they can be easily delivered to seniors during their regular meal delivery.

Deadline to Drop Off Gifts

Bring your gifts to 1330 Band Rd, Rosenberg, TX no later than Wednesday, December 9th. Gifts can be dropped off M-W from 10am-2pm.
