FBS can provide you with brochures and information, and a donation box with a flyer showing our wonderful seniors! You are welcome to create your own signs as part of the project as well, and you can contact our Development Coordinator, Meghan for the FBS logo and information to include.
If you would like a donation box to place at an office, school, or local business, contact Meghan Person at email@example.com for information.
Hold a Donation Drive
Some of our funding sources exclusively cover our meals and delivery costs, but we provide so much more programming to our seniors! We are always looking for community members to hold donation drives for those extra items our seniors need.
See the list of needed items below. Contact us for information or ideas on coordinating a donation drive, or to schedule a drop off.
Suggested Donation Drives
- Personal Hygiene Products
- Activity Drive
- Food Drive
- Pet Drive – Don’t forget our seniors’ furry friends!
- Emergency Drive
- Towel Drive
- Household Goods Drive (fragrance free items preferred)
Create Welcome Bags
For our newly added Meals on Wheels program clients, FBS case managers bring a small Welcome Bag to provide them with a few necessities and welcome them to our program. A service project can include collecting donations for the bags and putting them together. Completed Welcome Bags can be dropped off at the Fort Bend Seniors Administrative Offices in Rosenberg during office hours.
For groups with young children, you can also create “Welcome” cards to let our seniors know you care!
Welcome Bags Include:
- Reusable shopping bag
- Basic socks (for women and men)
- Sudoku/Crossword/Word Find Book
*All products should be fragrance free and made for sensitive skin whenever possible.
To discuss your ideas for additional service projects, please contact Rick Branek, Volunteer & Outreach Manager at at 281-633-7719 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
