Hold a Donation Drive
Some of our funding sources exclusively cover our meals and delivery costs, but we provide so much more programming to our seniors! We are always looking for community members to hold donation drives for those extra items our seniors need.
See the list of needed items below. Contact us for information or ideas on coordinating a donation drive, or to schedule a drop-off.
Suggested Donation Drives
- Adult Diaper Drive – Our most requested item from senior clients!
- Pet Drive – Don’t forget our seniors’ furry friends!
Looking for something else? We have a few other options for donation drives here.
Create Welcome/Birthday Bags
For our newly added Meals on Wheels program clients, FBS case managers bring a small Welcome Bag to provide them with a few necessities and welcome them to our program. Our Senior Center clients also receive a small bag of goodies to recognize their birthdays at our quarterly celebrations. A service project can include collecting donations for the bags and putting them together.
Completed bags can be dropped off at the Fort Bend Seniors Administrative Offices in Rosenberg. Please call ahead to arrange a drop-off time.
For youth groups, we would love to add an assortment of “Welcome” and “Birthday” cards to add, to let our seniors know you care!
Welcome Bags Include:
- Reusable shopping bag (small)
- Basic socks (for women and men)
- Sudoku/Crossword/Word Find Book
A minimum of 3 items (not including the reusable bag) should be included for each bag.
To discuss your ideas for additional service projects, please contact Rick Branek, Volunteer & Outreach Manager at at 281-633-7719 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
