Many of available funding sources cover meals and delivery costs exclusively, but Fort Bend Seniors provides so much more. We are always looking to partner with community members and other organizations to meet the further needs of our seniors.

Congregate Centers – Most Needed
Our congregate centers are back up and running! We will need disposable paper goods, cleaning supplies, and Bingo prizes. Please check out AmazonSmile list for the most up to date needs.
Bingo Prizes can include:
- Laundry Supplies (Detergent, Fabric Softener, Dryer Sheets, Bleach, etc)
- Dish Soap, Dishwashing Detergent
- Cleaning Supplies (Ajax, Fabuloso, Toliet Bowl Cleaner, Trash Bags etc)
- Paper Goods (Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Kleenex)
- Personal Hygiene Items (Toothpaste, Lotions, Deodorant, etc)
Welcome Bags – Most Needed
Every new Meals on Wheels client, is provided a small gift bag with a few necessities to welcome them to the program. Congregate Center clients also receive a small gift bag to recognize their birthdays at quarterly celebrations.
Welcome Bags Include:
- Small Reusable shopping bag
- Shampoo/Conditioner
- Lip Balm
- Soap / Rinse Free Bathing Wipes
- Fragrance Free Lotion
- Tissues
- Toothbrush/Toothpaste
- Basic socks (for women and men)
- Large print Sudoku/Crossword/Word Find Book
- Hand Sanitizer
- Disposable Facemasks
A minimum of 3 items (not including reusable bag) should be included.
A service project can include collecting donations for the bags and putting them together. For youth groups, seniors love “Welcome” cards, to let them seniors know you care.
Completed bags can be dropped off at the Fort Bend Seniors Administrative Offices in Rosenberg. Please call 281.633.7049 to arrange a drop-off time.
Fort Bend Seniors Secret Santa
Join us for a cherished FBS holiday tradition! For 14 years, at the beginning of the 2022 holiday season, every Meals on Wheels client, receives a reusable, holiday themed shopping bag with a new towel set (Bath towel, hand towel, and wash cloth) and a least one personal item.
Secret Santa Gifts Include:
- Reusable Holiday themed shopping bag
- New gender neutral towel set (Bath towel, hand towel, and wash cloth)
and at least one of the following
- 2023 Wall Calendar
- Shampoo/Conditioner
- Soap
- Lotion
- Slip-proof socks

You can also purchase your gifts from our Holiday AmazonSmile Wishlist and they ship directly to our office!
Bag it

All gifts should be placed in a large holiday-themed reusable shopping bags so they can be easily delivered to seniors during their regular meal delivery, and they can use the bag again.
Deadline to Drop Off Gifts
Bring your gifts to 1330 Band Rd, Rosenberg, TX beginning November 1 and no later than Friday, December 2nd. Gifts can be dropped off M-F from 10am-2pm. If you have a large number of gifts to drop off or need to arrange an alternate drop-off time, please call ahead (281.633.7049) or email kristie@fortbendseniors.org.
Delivery Vans
Our drivers pride themselves on the cleanliness and maintenance of the FBS vans they drive. Not only to keep our seniors healthy but also to extend the life of the vehicles. We have created an AmazonSmile list with every day items such as fluids and washing supplies but also things they may need in an emergency. Our vans are used 5 days a week and cover 2 counties.
Arts & Crafts
We have instructor lead Arts & Crafts classes at our larger congregate centers and supply craft kits to the smaller centers. Please check our AmazonSmile Wish List for current needs.
Pet Food Drive
Please purchase bags of pet food 7 lbs or smaller so the seniors can lift it.

Please note: FBS does not have space to store a large donations. Contact us for information, most current needs, or to schedule a drop-off and to ensure space availability.
BINGO SPONSORSHIP
The congregate centers’ most popular activity are the Bingo games. Sponsorship opportunities for corporations, businesses, and groups are available. Company volunteers sit among the players to help mark cards, claim prizes, etc. and a representative of the company calls out numbers. Your banners can be hung, and logo items can be included as prizes.
ITEMS WE CANNOT ACCEPT:
- Used clothing or furniture items
- Canned goods or expired food
- Children’s items
- Opened bags of pet food, canned pet food, or expired pet food
- Opened packages of adult diapers
Please donate gently used items to Fort Bend Women’s Center PennyWise Resale Stores and opened packages or canned dog food to your local animal shelter.
