Intake / Referral Worker (Temporary)


Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels is looking for an individual to perform data entry, as an intake/referral worker, on a full time basis. Skills Required: Organization, Typing, Data Entry Skills, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Thoroughness, Decision Making, Independence, Analyzing Information, Results Driven. Candidate must have high proficiency in accurate data entry and time management skills. Candidate should also be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, the internet, and advanced computer skills. Candidate must possess excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task with attention to detail. Under the general supervision of the Director or Programs, the Intake/Referral Worker is responsible for ensuring consumer services are initiated. The Intake/Referral Worker is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of consumer and operational data to initiate the intake and eligibility process for consumers to be assessed by the Case Management Department. Must be a team player, work efficiently with minimal supervision, and provide excellent internal and external customer service.

Qualifications Include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 year related job experience in data entry  
  • Strong computer, typing, and telephone skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Data Base Experience
  • Highly organized, high attention to detail, results driven

Part-Time Meals on Wheels Driver  (Contract / Fill-In Positions Only)

Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels is looking for a responsible and dependable person needed to deliver meals in the Fort Bend and Waller County area to home bound older adults. Duties include sorting and packaging meals, driving company vehicle, delivering meals, and must comply with policies and procedures set forth by Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels. Candidate should possess some knowledge of the Fort Bend and Waller County area. These duties are always performed with the agency’s mission in mind.

Qualifications Include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Three years driving experience required
  • Ability to drive, lift up to 50 lbs., and read a map or Global Positioning System (GPS)
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with co-workers, clients and the community

Part-Time Senior Center Site Manager

Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels is looking for a compassionate person with experience working with people in a group setting to oversee the day to day operation of the Senior Center in Rosenberg, TX. Primary duty is to work directly with senior clients, coordinating meal program, and overseeing activities at local senior center in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels. Other duties include facilitating daily exercise, recreation, and health and nutrition education program.

Qualifications Include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Candidate should possess some clerical duties for record keeping and reporting.

  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with co-workers, clients and the community.
